From the park to the fa cup

Set up in 2021 as Manchester Laces First team, WTWFC began in the lower leagues of the Manchester county divisions, taking to the pitch in our very first friendly with just 10 players one being somebodies girlfriend with an 11th member joining at half time, we still won by the way.

From those humble beginnings the club climbed 3 divisions in 4 seasons, winning 8 Trophies along the way with a drive an passion for inclusive, welcoming but ambitious football, culminating in our appearance in the FA Cup first round proper in 25/26!

Building a reputation for fun first football we pride ourselves on putting smiles on the face of everyone who plays, trains or supports us!

After forming a partnership in 2025 with Wythenshawe Town to host the clubs league and historic FA Cup games, and it going rather well Manchester Laces linked with Wythenshawe Town and the first team became Wythenshawe Town Women FC- remaining independent but connecting in our aim to make South Manchester proud - and we are only just getting started!
